Kansas Signed New Auto Verification Legislation For Auto Insurance Into law!
Establishes an instant verification system for auto coverage. Kansas Senate Bill 42 is a web based system that provides proactive real-time verification and monitors throughout your registration.
This means Kansas will be keeping a closer eye on uninsured drivers and aims to reduce the cost to insured drivers. This system isn't set to go live until July 1, 2026. Un-insured drivers cost insured folks millions in higher premiums! (About $ 51.9 million from 2021-2022)
When Implemented, authorities will be able to instantly verify your coverage, and hopefully long-term will help reduce rates by minimizing uninsured motorist payouts.
AHI Insurance group monitor's your policies for you. if there are any events or stops on your insurance, we can handle those right away.
Why Should You Care?
If you’re already insured and responsible, you’re probably overpaying (slightly!) because of people who risk it without coverage. Kansas wants to reward YOU—by making sure everyone is on equal footing.
